Now that your cool-weather vegetable plants have finished producing, pull them up to make room for something new.
Cool weather vegetables like peas, spinach, radishes, and broccoli will probably stop yielding this month. It's time to yank them out and plant something new. There is still time to plant another crop of quickly-maturing plants like string beans or zucchini or yellow squash.
Veggies planted in late April or May could begin producing this month. Pick your crops frequently to encourage continued yield.
Continue to monitor watering. Provide long, deep irrigation rather than light watering every day.
